Tours de Sport Goes "Truly" Regional with New Sales Offices in Vermont & Maine

New Hampshire was not enough! With our new sales office there open less than a month, Tours de Sport has upped the ante, and opened two additional sales offices in Vermont and Maine. Now more than ever, our network of sales agents can work together to make sure you have the most up to date information and the best vacation packages for the ski resort of your choice.

Our new Vermont office, located in the shadow of the beast that is Killington, is anchored by Goody Dwyer, a long time Killington resident who has worked in various capacities at the resort for over 10 years. Goody has spent time in the Group Services department, worked as a race secretary, and held administrative and advertising positions at the Red Rob Inn. Prior to her time at Killington, Goody spent two years working for NASTAR at Mount Snow. Her husband Chip, is a golf and ski instructor at Killington, and she has two sons who are avid skiers and riders.

Tour de Sport's outpost in Maine is manned, or is the correct term "womanned"?, by Judy Taylor, who brings with her over 12 years of experience at that jewel of the Mahoosuc Range, Sunday River. Her broad experience there has included stints in almost every department of resort operations, her most recent positions included Director of Sales and Front Office Manager at the Jordan Grand Resort Hotel. A lifetime Maine resident, Judy and her son Zach enjoy skiing and riding througout the Northeast.

New Hampshire. Vermont. Maine. Tours de Sport is at every point of the compass for the best skiing and riding in New England. Put our inside knowledge and love of the sport to work for you today. Welcome to the TDS Team, Goody and Judy!!!

Christmas Week Ski Vacations

Only 55 days until Christmas! While it may still seem like a long way off, the Christmas holiday week will be here very quickly. Obviously, the period between Christmas and New Year’s Day is the busiest week of the ski season, as many people take advantage of school and office closings in order to take their first ski trip of the year. This week also represents the week that most New England resorts are finally open to 100% capacity, so they are well prepared to handle the large crowds.

Consequently, even now, more than two months before the holidays, slopeside lodging at most resorts is already completely booked. Fortunately, each season we reserve several rooms at different resorts throughout the northeast as soon as they become available, in order to ‘lock in’ lower rates. We can pass these low prices directly to travelers, and have offered these units in the ‘Hot Deals’ section of the Tours de Sport website. In some cases, these units represent the LAST units available at some of the resorts.

One skiing option that we offer that may be completely unknown to most Americans is Mont Tremblant in Quebec. While it is a little further away for most people than the New England resorts (about 100 miles northwest of Montreal), this is one resort that is definitely worth the drive. Nearly all skiers and publications consider Tremblant as the finest resort in eastern North America. For starters, the pedestrian village at the base of the mountain is the largest in the east. It has the feel of a classic European ski town, except with modern amenities and attractions. Shops, restaurants, art galleries, and even a full-service recreation center and spa are all within easy walking distance of all of the lodging properties in the village. Furthermore, a small lift takes guests directly over the sloping village and drops off right at the base of the gondola, so minimal walking is required. Best of all, the rates at these properties are much more affordable than anything we offer in New England, especially for the Christmas week.

Christmas Week at:
Mont Tremblant, Quebec
Killington, Vermont
