Skiing in Deer Valley

If there is such a thing as elite and a 'fine dining' version to skiing, it would have to be Deer Valley Mountain Resort in Utah. Apart from its ultimately “exclusive” atmosphere, there is a strict “NO SNOWBOARDING” policy – which makes this among the last three ski resorts in America to have no snowboarding. The die hard, conservative fans of skiing will find that they have the place all to themselves. Sounds like heaven, doesn't it?

Since the resort's opening in 1981, it has been committed to providing a classy brand of service rarely seen on most commercial ski resorts. No wonder it has been bagging prestigious awards left and right for the kind of service and amenities they are giving. And just lately, the Deer Valley Resort bagged its fourth No. 1 Ski Resort in North America award in a row from the readers of SKI Magazine.

Its relatively smaller size in comparison to its many neighboring ski resorts in Park City, Utah, but does not prove to be a liability. Because of its size, at 2,026 acres of skiable terrain, they are able to maintain the exclusivity of the resort. The total skiable area and the base of the entire resort is spread of 6 mountains, and divided into 99 multi-level runs. Deer Valley Mountain Resort has 6 bowls serviced by 22 lifts.

The ski lift system at the resort is also another thing that sets it apart from all others. Their ticket sales are limited to avoid overcrowding, and probably, to maintain the perfect condition of the slopes.

One notable thing about this resort is their attention to guests needs and wants. For one, they have ski valet that welcomes their guests upon arriving at the resort, which, needless to say, makes every guest feel like a true VIP. Another extra effort they have put on to grooming of their mountain. The powder quality Utah snow of their mountains have been complimented by their conditioning efforts. The resort also offers  ski training, child care and even the lodging and dining options.

Already famous for their strict implementation of world-class services – their staff is highly trained, the resort became even more famous for hosting several events in the 2002 Winter Olympics. The resort is only six miles from Salt Lake City International Airport which makes it very accessible to guests.

Deer Valley Mountain Resort is  for those avid skiers who want nothing more but enjoy a peaceful, scenic, and superb skiing. Guest will be served on a silver platter!
