Okemo, VT-12/27 Crazy Fun and LOTS of snow. C'mon Up!

Report updated Dec. 27th at 12:00 pm

The Inside Edge

UPDATE AS OF 11:50 AM: All scheduled lifts are now running. Check out our list of trails above for the most up-to-date list of open trails. I just got back in from taking some runs, and the skiing is unbelievable. There are great powder stashes on trails like Big Bang and The Plunge, and the glades skiing is super fun on Supernova. The skiing is great for everyone today, thanks to the soft, powdery fluff everywhere. So far we have picked up about 10-12 inches and it is still coming down hard!
Good morning skiers and riders! It’s snowing! Heavily! We’ve already picked up 3-5” of snow from the storm, and it will continue snowing heavily throughout the day. We anticipate picking up around 12-14” when all is said and done. It’s going to be an incredible powder day out on the slopes, so break out the fat skis and make your way to Okemo!
The storm is allowing us to open terrain left and right—we’ll have 104 trails open today (37 more than yesterday), with 18 lifts spinning starting at 8 a.m. For a complete list of what’s open, check out our interactive map. We’ll have mainly powder conditions, with some windblown areas that are more packed down. There are also some nice powdery drifts to explore as well. It is a bit windy out there and the snow has blown around a bit, so be aware that some trails and lifts may open and close today as conditions change.
Groomers started last night over by Solitude and Jackson Gore, so those areas will have the deepest snow this morning. We will be grooming some green circles throughout the day, but we do expect that most trails will have some nice fluff, especially as the snow continues to fall today.
