Fabulous in Stowe!
|Your seat awaits|
I recently returned from a whirlwind week in Vermont. Wow, I love the Green Mountain State! If you have not had the opportunity to ski the resorts in Vermont this is the year to plan it. Every town has its own niche and some of the best skiing the East Coast has to offer. After a few hours in Vermont you find yourself relaxed and excited to see what new adventure the day will bring.
After a day of great skiing/ boarding, a hot shower and good long soak in a perfectly heated hot tub you need to eat. While on my trip I had the pleasure of trying the new restaurants of the recently renovated Topnotch Resort in Stowe.
|One word - Yum!|
If you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner you need to check out Flannel restaurant. If you are wanting a great place to apres' or hang out with your friends I highly recommend Roost Lounge. I enjoyed the atmosphere of over-sized couches and relaxing fire pits. They have plenty of options for fun and entertainment. Check out their beer and wine selections they are truly excellent!
The chef at Topnotch, Steve Sicinski, designed the menus for both Flannel and The Roost. The pastry chef is Peter Calhoun, and I can honestly say he creates some of the best pastries around. The crust on my quiche was perfect. Their approach to dining is " A room, a view, and a warm welcome." This really is a place that "pays homage to Vermont fresh ingredients, seasonal inspirations, world-class wines, and service - paced to please".
Kamlyn Cantrell is the newest addition to the TDS family, and comes to us from Colorado. While currently with us at the home office in Baltimore, she is hoping to be residing in Vermont within the next year. I am seeing some additional "scouting trips" in her future before the season is over!
